iMeter 8 FAQs
The manual designated a 1amp fuse for the power supply, however, the fuse blows when I try to power up the meter.
We have found there is an error in the User Manual. Please use 2Amp fuses. CET Support found that the initial power up of the iMeter 8 causes a power draw, which can blow the 1Amp fuse.
I am having issues with accessing the web interface

Can I use the iMeter 8 in an FCAS role?
Our understanding is that FCAS is managed by AEMO and that the meters used can measure extremely precise and rapid changes in the supply frequency. Companies serving this market (utilities, generators, etc) must use these meters to rectify frequency changes.
The specifications for these meters were set by AEMO. An organisation must register for FCAS with AEMO and specify which meters will be used.
AEMO's Market Ancillary Services Specification (MASS).
This document outlines the technical requirements for participating in the FCAS markets, including metering requirements. MASS does include a requirement for type testing of the FCAS meter to ensure it complies with the adopted standards.
CET are currently upgrading the firmware for the iMeter 8 for High Speed Setpoint trigger source for logging Frequency Deviation. This release is expected by the end of 2025.
With every meter selection there will be a requirement of some internal/inhouse testing to ensure it meets their intended Market Ancillary Services Specification.
